Après qu'Eminem est annoncé qu'il sortirait 2 albums cette année ("Relapse" en Mai et "Relapse 2" fin 2009),
c'est au tour de 50 Cent de faire le même genre d'annonce avec "Before I Self Destruct" en Juin
et un second album 1 mois après la sortie de "Relapse 2"...

50 Cent a déjà sortie 2 singles de son nouvel album: "Get Up" et "I Get It In"
2 titres qui n'ont pas trouvé le succès espérés...

“It’s about 30 percent of what I had when I felt I was finished. The production [changed.] A lot of it [Dr.] Dre made a lot more of the music that’s on the actual album and I re-wrote some concepts ’cause to me sometimes, it would sound like I’m absolutely out my mind if I play you the music. It gets dated because I’ve been playing it to myself for so long that I’m no longer as excited as I was for the first time, so I’m making new material and adding it to the actual project. I’ve been conceptually doing some things that directly apply to the initial concept of Before I Self Destruct and I wrote, produced and directed my first screen play. It’ll actually be in the album packaging."

Finalement ils auront gardé que 30% de la 1ère version de son album qui aurait du sortir en début d'année. Il y aura beaucoup plus de prod de Dr. Dre.
